Devils activate Elias off IR

Newark, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - The New Jersey Devils have activated forward Patrik Elias off injured reserve.

Elias last played on Oct. 29 against Tampa Bay and missed six games because of an upper-body injury. He could return for Friday's game against Los Angeles.

"It's something you feel you should be getting better with, but it's frustrating when you don't, especially for that long," said Elias after Friday's morning skate.

The 37-year-old veteran has posted three goals and four assists over 10 games in his 18th NHL season -- all with New Jersey.
