Statistically Speaking: Most small companies value retirement plans

A recent study by the Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies, a nonprofit arm of the life insurance company, looked at retirement benefits offered by small companies that number 10 to 499 employees. Here’s what the report found:

88% of small company workers say they value 401(k) or similar plans.

58% of workers at these companies are actually offered retirement plans.

19% of small companies automatically enroll eligible employees in these plans.
