New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen has been suspended one game without pay for kicking Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul in the face during Monday's game at Staples Center.

Allen was assessed a Flagrant Foul 2 and ejected from the game for the incident, which occurred late in the first quarter of Memphis' 106-102 win.

On the play, Paul drove the lane and Allen jumped to defend a potential pass, but caught Paul flush in the face with his shin.

Allen will serve his suspension Wednesday when the Grizzlies visit the Golden State Warriors.
