Pedestrian injured when struck by vehicle in Durham

— A pedestrian was critically injured in Durham when he was struck by a vehicle Monday evening near the intersection of South LaSalle Street and Campus Walk Avenue, police reported.

The incident occurred about 11:20 p.m. as the male victim crossed the street, according to a police news release.

The victim was transported to a hospital with life threatening injuries and is listed in critical condition, police reported.

Police did not provide more information.
