Carrboro’s ArtsCenter offers a free staged reading of Winston-Salem playwright Nathan Ross’ “Hannah Elias” on Sunday. The plot concerns an African-American woman paid for her services by wealthy white men. She uses her earnings to help other African-Americans escape dire poverty. Noted area actors Jade Arnold and Carly Prentice Jones head the cast. 3 p.m.
