Scout adds benches to church playground

Seth Bartholomew of Apex has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Boy Scouting.

For his Eagle project, Seth led the construction of two large wooden benches at the playground area of Merritt’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill, including adding landscape timbers and mulch.

Seth, the son of John and Kathy Bartholomew, is a 2013 graduate of Panther Creek High School in Cary and was a member of Troop 316 in Apex.
