Chase Butler Simpson and Kyle Steven Felmet were united in marriage on November 23, 2013, at half past five in the evening at The Village Chapel in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The Reverend Russ Andrews and the Reverend Dr. Ashley Smith officiated the ceremony. Dinner and dancing followed the ceremony at The Fair Barn. A rehearsal dinner was given by the grooms parents at The Pinehurst Resort.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Evander Samuel Simpson III of Raleigh, North Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. James Fred Webb and the late Mr. James Fred Webb of Greenville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Evander Samuel Simpson, Jr of Smithfield, North Carolina.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Frank Felmet of Wake Forest, North Carolina. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. LeLand James Anderson of Glendora, Michigan, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lucian Holt Felmet of Raleigh, North Carolina.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sisters, Camille Simpson Galloway of Winston-Salem, Blake Simpson Fricks of Raleigh, and Natalie Simpson Owen of Raleigh. Bridesmaids were Katherine Connor Banner, Laura Elizabeth Eades , Jennifer Randolph Hoft, Anne Stephenson McLean, Laura Lewis Rogers, and Michelle Lojko Rollins of Raleigh; Elizabeth Caroline McClintic of New Bern; Hannah Bryan Gardner of Irvington, VA; Elizabeth Brady Maness of New York, NY. Isabelle Olivia Simpson, niece of the bride, served as the flower girl.

Claude Frank Felmet, father of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Claude Colin Felmet of Asheville and Benjamin Brian Bowers of Franklinton, brothers of the groom. Mr. Evander Samuel Simpson IV, brother of the bride, of Greensboro; James Frederick Webb Simpson, brother of the bride, of Charlotte; Mr. Jeffrey Alan Braswell, Mr. Trevor Godwin Hudson, Mr. Charles Pou O’Bryant , Mr. Matthew James Rollins of Raleigh; Mr. Thomas Gordon Roach of Mooresville; Mr. Gilbert Potter Smith of Atlanta, GA; Mr. Tyler Ballentine Steele of Charlotte; and Mr. John Mills Testerman of Washington, DC. Joseph Wesley Fricks IV, nephew of the bride, served as the ring bearer.

James Gray Galloway Jr., brother-in-law of the bride, of Winston Salem and Pamela Neal Shaw of Apex, served as scripture readers. Greeters were Ashley Morgan Bowers and Kailie Brianna Bowers, nieces of the groom, of Franklinton; and Sarah McCabe Galloway, of Winston-Salem and Ashley Chandler Simpson of Greensboro, nieces of the bride. Acolytes were James Gray Galloway III of Winston-Salem and Evander Samuel Simpson V of Greensboro, nephews of the bride.

The bride received a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management and a Masters of Arts in Teaching at North Carolina State University. She is employed by Wake County Public Schools and is a teacher at Olive Chapel Elementary.

The groom received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at North Carolina State University. He is employed by Biologics.

Following a wedding trip to Isla Mujeres, Mexico, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
