Mrs. Daniel Patton Malloy

Katherine LeNoir Cline and Daniel Patton Malloy were united in marriage at six o’clock in the evening on June 1, 2013 at the North Carolina Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The Reverend Dayle A. Malloy of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, aunt of the groom, officiated. A reception, hosted by the bride's parents, followed the ceremony at the Garden. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Carolina Club in Chapel Hill.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lee Cline of Wake Forest. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lawrence Rapp of Inman, South Carolina and the late Mr. and Mrs. Houston Raeford Cline of Charlotte.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Edward Malloy of Alexandria, Virginia. He is the grandson of Mrs. Daniel Clark Patton and the late Mr. Patton of Elon and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leo J. Malloy of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was Ms. Stacy Dunne of Chapel Hill. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Kathryn Cline of Norfolk, Virginia, sister-in-law of the bride, Ms. Katherine Malloy of Alexandria, Virginia, sister of the groom, and Ms. Mary McElveen of Chesapeake, Virginia, cousin of the bride.

Mr. Andrew Richmond of San Diego, California, served as best man. The groomsmen were Mr. Effiong Ekanem of Durham, Mr. Michael Henninger of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Mr. Matthew Moser of Columbia, South Carolina.

Ushers for the wedding ceremony were LCDR Charles Cline of Norfolk, Virginia, brother of the bride, Mr. Patrick O'Connor of Utila, Honduras, Mr. Brentley McNeill of Point Reyes Station, California, and Mr. Morgan Ellis, of Durham.

The bride is a graduate of Enloe High School in Raleigh. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is the public relations manager for the Mid-Atlantic Region of Whole Foods Market in Rockville, Maryland.

The groom is a graduate of St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School in Alexandria, Virginia. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is the Washington Correspondent for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper in Atlanta, Georgia.

Following a honeymoon to Belize, the couple resides in Silver Spring, Maryland.
