Donald successfully defends Dunlop title

Miyazaki, Japan (SportsNetwork.com) - Luke Donald fired a 5-under-par 66 on Sunday to successfully defend his Dunlop Phoenix title.

Donald finished the tournament at 14-under-par 270, six strokes clear of his nearest challenger, to lock up his second Japan Golf Tour title, with the other coming at this event a year prior.

Hyung-Sung Kim shot 70 at Phoenix Country Club and took solo second at 8-under 276, Shingo Katayama (65) grabbed third at 7-under and Gonzalo Fernandez- Castano (67) and Shunsuke Sonoda (69) shared fourth at minus-4.

Donald opened with three birdies over his first four holes Sunday and cruised from there. The Englishman added a birdie at the seventh to turn in 32, then mixed three birdies and a pair of bogeys during his inward stretch to seal the victory.
