Statistically speaking: One-third of small businesses believe they'll perform better this holiday season

Thirty-four percent of small-business owners believe their company will perform better this holiday season compared withlast year, according to a November survey of 507 owners by Ink from Chase, an arm of Chase Bank. Here are other findings:

34% of small-business owners are planning promotions on or before Thursday’s Thanksgiving holiday.

47% of owners are increasing inventory or marketing efforts.

32% of owners predict an increase over last year in e-commerce sales.
