Raleigh police seek help in finding suspect in two holdups

From staff reportsNovember 25, 2013

— A man was being sought in connection with two holdups at Raleigh stores earlier this month, and police asked for the public's help in identifying and locating him.

The man, described as white, slender, short to medium height and possibly in his 30s, wore a green jacket and blue baseball cap in both robberies.

The thief suggested he had a gun, taking it partially out of his pocket during one of the holdups, police spokesman Jim Sughrue said.

A Subway restaurant at 4003 Wake Forest Road was robbed on the evening of Nov. 4.

An Ace Hardware store at 6196 Falls of Neuse Road was held up on the evening of Nov. 7, Sughrue said.
