One-car wreck knocks out power to area on Leesville Road in Raleigh

— Duke Energy Progress said 318 customers were without power in the area of Leesville Road and Erinsbrook Drive on Tuesday morning after a car took out a utility pole and brought down wires.

Police closed Leesville Road in the area of Dominion Boulevard and suggested drivers find other routes.

The accident happened shortly after 1 a.m., and the utility said on its website that customers were unlikely to be back in service before midday.

No serious injuries were reported in the accident.
