Kathy Davis: Special thanks

November 26, 2013

In a time when it’s so easy to become cynical and jaded about our fellow man, recently I was reminded that the world still has some kind and helpful individuals.

I was involved in an automobile accident, and the three people who came to assist gave me hope again that the world isn’t all bad. Many thanks to Cynthia Jernigan (who came to see if I was injured), Officer Bittern of the Raleigh Police Department (who made me promise that I wouldn’t let this accident spoil my Thanksgiving and was more than helpful and kind and patient with my addled status) and Kevin (from East Coast Towing who made the ride to my collision repair shop less anxious by engaging me in great conversation, non-accident related).

Thanks to these kind and wonderful people who gave renewed meaning to “Thanksgiving.”
