Sabres claim D'Agostini

Buffalo, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Buffalo Sabres claimed forward Matt D'Agostini off of waivers from the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday.

D'Agostini was waived by the Penguins on Tuesday. He played in eight games with Pittsburgh this year, recording an assist and four penalty minutes. He joined the Penguins at the start of the season after signing a one-year contract in July.

Prior to the Penguins, D'Agostini played for the Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues and the New Jersey Devils and has notched 96 points on 47 goals and 49 assists through 275 career games in the NHL.
