Leafs' Lupul week-to-week with groin strain

The Sports NetworkNovember 27, 2013

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul is expected to miss around two weeks with a groin injury he sustained in the team's last outing.

Head coach Randy Carlyle told reporters during the team's morning skate on Wednesday that Lupul is dealing with a Grade 2 groin strain. The veteran wing exited Monday's 6-0 loss to Columbus due to the injury and did not return to the game.

Lupul is tied for third among Toronto players with eight goals this season and has amassed 15 points in 22 contests thus far in 2013-14. The 30-year-old recorded 25 goals and a career-best 67 points with the Leafs in 2011-12 before missing a good portion of last season with a concussion.
