Nets' Pierce sidelined with fractured finger

The Sports NetworkDecember 2, 2013

Brooklyn, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Brooklyn Nets forward Paul Pierce is expected to be sidelined for 2-to-4 weeks because of a fractured finger on his right hand.

Pierce was hurt during the first half of Friday's game against Houston and missed Saturday's contest against Memphis.

The Nets said tests revealed a non-displaced fracture of the middle finger on the right hand, which could keep Pierce out until January.

Pierce is averaging 12.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 15 games this season, his first with the Nets.
