Tift Merritt: Still Not Home (8pm, UNC-TV) - In this this broadcast of a live concert filmed at the N.C. Museum of Art in August, Tift Merritt performs songs from her most recent album and other fan favorites. Stick around at 9 p.m., when Merritt will be in the UNC-TV studio to share stories about her music and North Carolina roots.

The Originals (8pm, CW) - A violent confrontation occurs when the human faction takes matters into its own hands. Meanwhile, Klaus opens up to Marcel about his past indiscretions, and Hayley learns about a plan to harm the werewolves in the bayou.

Doomsday Preppers (9pm, National Geographic Channel) - A family in Texas make preparations to protect themselves against severe hurricanes. Seems reasonable. Elsewhere, brothers from Utah create a sniper post to defend themselves against marauders in the event of an economic collapse. Um, okaaay.

The Mavericks: In Time (9:30pm, UNC-TV) - The Mavericks perform their hits, including “Here Comes the Rain” and “Dance the Night Away.”

Trophy Wife (9:30pm, ABC) - Kate tries to set up Diane with another parent on a field trip, while Hillary helps Bert get on his teacher’s good side.

Sons of Anarchy (10pm, FX) - Jax’s world is suddenly turned upside down.

Marshal Law: Texas (10pm, TNT) - The hunt is on for a suburban strip-mall shooter. Also, a love triangle turns violent and a gang member is tracked.
