Raleigh woman accused of embezzling from Magnolia Animal Hospital

— A Raleigh woman is accused of embezzling about $5,600 from Magnolia Animal Hospital on Capital Boulevard, according to an arrest warrant.

Melody Elaine Morris, 41, was arrested Wednesday on the felony charge, court documents state.

Morris, of 2310 Hill St., is described as a “front desk” employee of the practice in an arrest report. Police say the crime occurred between Oct. 2 and Wednesday, according to the arrest warrant.

A representative of Magnolia Animal Hospital wasn’t available for immediate comment.

Morris was arrested Wednesday afternoon and posted $10,000 bond to leave the Wake County Detention Center that evening.
