Flags lowered for Nelson Mandela

Gov. Pat McCrory ordered flags at all state facilities lowered to honor Nelson Mandela, former president of South Africa.

The anti-apartheid activist and former political prisoner died Thursday at age 95. Flags will be lowered until sunset Monday.
