Sherry Emanuel: Mandela elevated people

December 6, 2013

Reflecting on the passing of Nelson Mandela, one cannot help but note that his imprint on history is different from that of so many world figures who have left their mark. Too many of those who left indelible stamps on civilization fomented loss, torture, death and tragic degradation in communities, countries and humanity itself, whereas Mandela’s singular strength, intellect and persistence elevated people of all nations to embrace higher moral and ethical standards. What a great man!
