Police are seeking this man in connection to two attempted North Raleigh robberies.

RALEIGH POLICE DEPARTMENT

— The Raleigh Police Department is circulating photos of a man suspected of two failed robbery attempts on the 6300 block of Falls of Neuse Road Saturday.

The man, described as a white male in his 30s or 40s, apparently entered Raleigh Gold Estate Jewelery with a “robbery note” in his hand, saw an employee speaking on the telephone and left without taking any money.

The suspect, about 5-foot-7 with a graying stubble beard, then headed to a Rite Aid Pharmacy just down the road. He was described as wearing a dark blue hooded jacket, blue jeans, white sneakers, and a blue-and-white “Colts” baseball cap. There, he displayed a note to an employee, according to police.

However, “for reasons that are not completely known at this point,” the man left the Rite Aid before he could take any cash, according to a police statement.

Raleigh police ask anyone with information about the suspect to call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357, a hotline that pays cash for helpful anonymous tips.
