From staff reportsDecember 10, 2013

— Police arrested a second man Tuesday in the shooting last week of two teenagers who remain hospitalized.

Christopher Taylor Johnson, 25, of Durham, was charged with two counts of attempted murder and placed in the Durham County Jail under $5 million bail.

On Friday investigators charged Thomas Deangelo Griffin with the Dec. 3 shooting. He also was charged with two counts of attempted murder, but was jailed under $1 million bail, according to police.

Officers were dispatched shortly before 1:30 p.m. to a shooting call in the 500 block of Liberty Street. They found two teens – 14 and 16 years old – seriously injured and learned they had been shot inside a vacant house at 4 Grace Lane.

The shooting does not appear to be random, according to investigators.
