Raleigh-based company YILLIO launched its mobile platform Thursday and announced a partnership that will help connect visitors and residents with merchants near the Super Bowl XLVIII in Newark, N.J. in February.

"We are delighted to be a part of this opportunity to introduce YILLIO technology to the people of the greater Newark area and their guests during the weeks prior and after the Super Bowl," stated Reid Overcash, CEO of YILLIO in a media release. "People will be able to search ahead based on their interests and instantly find it on their smart phones as they travel throughout the area."

The Greater Newark Convention & Visitors Bureau is partnering with YILLIO and promoting the company’s application, which incorporates route planning and merchant promotions to help consumers plan where they will stop on their route.

Merchants sign up to participate on the platform and can create an advertising message to share savings promotions, specials and other events in real time, the release states.
