Hurricanes activate Semin from IR

Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Carolina Hurricanes activated forward Alexander Semin from injured reserve on Thursday.

Semin has missed the last 12 games after suffering a concussion from a hit from St. Louis defenseman Alex Pietrangelo during a 4-2 loss to the Blues on Nov. 16.

The 29-year-old veteran has appeared in 20 games this season, posting three goals and six assists.
