Girl Scout develops craft for families of sick children

December 15, 2013

Sarah Moody of Cary has received the Silver Award, the second highest achievement in Girl Scouting.

For her Silver Award project, Sarah created an inspirational box craft, developed instructions and led a class on box construction at a local Ronald McDonald House. Each of the inspirational boxes contained encouraging notes for families living at the Ronald McDonald House while their children received hospital treatment.

Sarah, the daughter of David and Nancy Moody, is a member of Troop 1860, led by Sally McNamee.
