Affordable gifts for teachers and gifts for you, dear readers

Posted by Amy Dunn on December 15, 2013

If you haven’t purchased gifts for your child’s teacher yet this year, be sure to check out my column in Sunday’s Work & Money section.

I talked to the experts -- the teachers themselves -- who gave suggestions on the best affordable gifts for those who spend so much time with our children.

They also very politely gave a few ideas about what gifts to avoid.

Read the complete story HERE.

At the bottom of the column in Sunday’s paper, there’s a small item you might have overlooked -- about gifts for you, my loyal readers.

Over the next 10 days I’ll be giving away all sorts of things on the Centsible Saver blog.

The first gifts up for grabs are five bags of coffee sent to me by the folks at Starbucks. Each is a one-pound bag of the company’s Christmas blend.

If you’d like to enter, please send me an email at adunn@newsobserver.com. You must include your name and mailing address and put “Starbucks giveaway” in the subject line.

The deadline to enter is noon Thursday, Dec. 19. I’ll choose the winners at random and mail the coffee out asap.
