— Two 17-year-olds were due to make first court appearances Monday on charges that they robbed a man and left him shoeless in the street one night earlier this month.

Devonte Glenn Jones of 4819 Altha St. and Jashon Marquis Estes of 715 N. Boundary St, both in Raleigh, were arrested Friday on a common law robbery charge stemming from the Dec. 7 incident.

Each was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail following their arrests – Jones at his home and Estes at Broughton High School.

Police said the victim was robbed of his wallet, phone and shoes after a party in the 7800 block of Stephanie Lane and left shoeless on the street.

Temperatures were in the low 40s then.
