— Police are looking for a suspect responsible for robbing the PNC Bank Zebulon branch this morning.

Zebulon police Chief Tim Hayworth described the suspect as a black or Hispanic man about 5 feet 10 inches tall. The suspect entered the bank, located at 300 N. Arendell Ave., wearing heavy winter clothing with a scarf over his face.

The suspect did not show or indicate he had a weapon, according to Hayworth, as he demanded money from a clerk about 10:45 a.m. No one was injured in the incident.

As of noon, police were waiting for a loss prevention representative from the bank to arrive to determine how much money was stolen.
