Gray Ligon: A plan to destroy Jordan Lake

December 16, 2013

In response to the Dec. 15 news article “Can floating pumps save Jordan Lake?”: With this approach, the dumping of things that should not be in our water supply continues. There is no effort to stop this dumping.

So Jordan Lake becomes a massive sewage treatment plant. There is little to show that these pumps work and no concern about the people and animals that swim in the Lake and drink its water.

Why not do the right thing and stop the pollution at the source? Let the EPA and the government do their job and clean up our water rather than mask the problem and destroy the lake. Once the lake water reaches a certain level of pollution, the damage is done.
