What to Watch on Friday: An ‘I Love Lucy’ Christmas special

CBS broadcasts a one-hour special featuring two newly colorized back-to-back classic episodes of the 1950s series “I Love Lucy.”


I Love Lucy Christmas Special (8pm, CBS) - From 1956, Lucy, Ricky, Ethel and Fred put up Christmas decorations while reminiscing about the changes in their lives since the arrival of the Ricardos’ son, Ricky. Later, Lucy works in an Italian vineyard to “soak up some local color” for a movie role.

It’s a Wonderful Life (8pm, NBC) - The Frank Capra classic -- again!

The Carrie Diaries (8pm, CW) - Carrie interviews the CEO of a jeans company for an article she hopes Interview will publish. Meanwhile, Maggie struggles to tell her dad the truth about an event.

Happiness is a Warm Blanket (9pm, Fox) - The Peanuts gang try to persuade Linus to give up his trusty blanket.

Blue Bloods (10pm, CBS) - Danny must investigate an old childhood pal who is connected to a mob family. Elsewhere, Frank deals with an upswing in crime resulting from a judicial ruling about a controversial NYPD policy.
