Brothers picked for Naval Academy program

Twin brothers Jared Mark and Jasper Mark of Raleigh were selected for the U.S. Naval Academy’s weeklong STEM summer program this year.

The program, for rising eighth- to 11th-graders, offers hands-on learning for real-world applications of science and math concepts. The 640 participants learned from Naval Academy professors in lab facilities at the Annapolis, Md., school. Academy students served as counselors and tutors.

Jared and Jasper, sons of Audrey and Roger Mark, are sophomores are Raleigh Charter High School.
