Church awards scholarship

Jasmine Boles was presented with the James Monroe Harris Scholarship Award from William Boykin Sr., executive pastor of the Body of Christ Church.

Jasmine Boles of Raleigh was awarded the James Monroe Harris Scholarship by the Education/Scholarship Ministry at Body of Christ Church in Raleigh.

The scholarship, worth $500, is awarded to active members of Body of Christ Church who live in Wake County and demonstrate strong academic performance and ongoing participation in extracurricular activities and community service. The scholarship money is deposited in January, pending verification of a successful first semester in college. Jasmine, who graduated this year from Millbrook High School, now attends N.C. A&T in Greensboro, where she is studying industrial engineering systems.

Jasmine is the daughter of Jenee’ and Rod Ethridge.
