Holly Spring, Fuquay-Varina police accuse pair held on Raleigh robbery charge

— Police in Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs have added several charges against a man and woman whom Raleigh police charged last week with armed robbery at a Costco store and breaking into vehicles.

Arrest warrants were served Sunday on Anthony Scott Weaver, 43, and Robin Lee Bennett at the Wake County Detention Center, where they have been in custody since Raleigh police arrested them last week.

Holly Springs police charged Weaver with breaking into a vehicle on Dec. 4 and taking $1,431 worth of items that were in it.

Fuquay-Varina officers charged Bennett with breaking into cars on Dec. 4 and Dec. 14 and with stealing a woman’s American Express card and using it to by more than $2,400 worth of merchandise after the earlier incident.

Bennett’s age and where the two live have been uncertain.

Bennett is listed in court records as being born in 1962 and 1964.

On arrest warrants, both have been listed as living at 3024 Dogwood Drive in Raleigh, which is where Raleigh police arrested them.

On arrest reports, however, Weaver has a Sanford address and Bennett is listed as living at 345 E. Millbrook Road in Raleigh.

Raleigh police charged that the two went into a Costco store Dec. 12 armed with a black handgun and took three pairs of high-end headphones.

Weaver and Bennett were due back in court Monday on the new charges and were being held in lieu of $676,000 bail and $1,057,000 bail, respectively.
