RALEIGH — Police on Wednesday released the name of a 36-year-old man who was shot Tuesday in North Raleigh.
The victim, Demarcus Montice Brown, endured injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police reported.
Investigators do not think the shooting was a random act, but released few details about the incident.
Just before 2:30 p.m., police responded to a 911 call about a shooting in the 6000 block of Poyner Village Parkway, near Triangle Town Mall.
Someone used their private vehicle to transport Brown to a fire station at 4209 Spring Forest Road and emergency workers there rushed him to WakeMed in Raleigh.
No arrests have been made, but police spokeswoman Laura Hourigan said the investigation is progressing.
