— Police are asking the public to help with their efforts to find a 15-year-old girl who has not been seen by her mother since late last week.

The child, Kenyetta Clark, was reported missing to police by her mother, Valarie Anne Tate, just before 9:30 a.m. Sunday, according to a Raleigh police incident report.

Tate told police she last saw her daughter at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Her daughter spent Friday night at a friend’s home after the friend’s mother took them to the Skate Ranch on Trawick Road. Kenyetta called Tate at 7 a.m. Saturday morning “just to check in.”

“I called her back at 10 a.m. and she said she was fine, but I know somebody was with her,” Tate said on Tuesday. “She sounded like she was distracted. She paused, like she was listening to somebody.”

Police do not think foul play is involved and they think she may be in the Triangle area.

Investigators say the missing teen is a black female. She stands about 5 feet 1 inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds.

Police are asking anyone who think they may know her whereabouts or who has other information that might assist efforts to locate her to call the Raleigh Police Department's tip line at 919-834-4357.
