What to Watch on Wednesday: Former Navy SEAL is the ‘Lone Target’ on Discovery

Lone Target (10pm, Discovery) - An anti-poaching unit is featured in the opener of this series, in which former Navy SEAL Joel Lambert attempts to evade capture from a team of tracking experts. In each episode, which follows a 48-hour period, Lambert is dropped at an unknown secret starting point with a small head start, then must evade capture from a different elite military or law enforcement tracking team – equipped with only what he can carry on his back. Cameras show the search from the perspectives of the hunters and the hunted.

From Vienna: The New Year’s Celebration 2014 (8pm, UNC-TV) - The Vienna Philharmonic, under the direction of Daniel Barenboim, and the Vienna State Ballet celebrate the New Year at Viennas Musikverein. Julie Andrews hosts.

House of Secrets (8pm, Lifetime Movie Network) - A woman moves into her abusive husband’s remodeled house, not realizing that he has installed hidden cameras and listening devices in order to track her every move.

Kim of Queens (10pm, Lifetime) - In this new reality show, renowned pageant coach Kim Gravel helps transform girls into confident young women. In tonight’s opener, Kim takes on a “hillbilly girl” as a client and tries to make her into a beauty queen.

Marathons: There are all manner of marathons on today -- “Happy Endings,” (VH1), “The Twilight Zone” (Syfy), “Law & Order” (We), “The Walking Dead” (AMC), “The Big Bang Theory” (TBS), “Shark Tank” (CNBC) and “American Pickers” (History) are just a few.
