RALEIGH — The N.C. Museum of Art is keeping its popular Porsche by Design exhibition open for about two weeks beyond its original ending date, giving art and car buffs another month to check out the fine lines of 22 Porsche cars.
The show, which opened in October, now will close on Feb. 2. Originally, the set of prototypes, racers and street-legal models was to close to the public on Jan. 20.
The extended exhibition also will include a special twist: Some of those cars will go on display with their hoods up from Jan. 24 through Jan. 27
The museum also will hold another raffle for a car, selling 2,000 tickets at $100 a piece. The winner gets a sapphire blue, metallic 2014 Boxster S. The museum recently raffled off a Porsche Cayman, selling tickets so quickly that it decided to hold a second raffle, according to museum staff.
