Regency Centers, the owner of the Cameron Village shopping center, has acquired the Holly Park shopping center on Wake Forest Road in Raleigh for $33.9 million, according to property records.

The seller was Principal Real Estate Investors and Lat Purser and Associates, who acquired the 159,871-square-foot center in 2007 for $17 million.

The price reflects the revival of the center since Trader Joe’s opened a store in Holly Park in late 2009. The California specialty grocery chain has been a major draw for both shoppers and tenants.
