Six String Drag is back together, kinda

Between the recent Nantucket original-lineup reunion and the Backsliders holding court at the Sadlack’s “Last Waltz” farewell on New Year’s Eve, we’ve had a heaping helping of musical nosalgia in the Triangle lately. And here is another, possibly the most enticing of the bunch (for me, anyway): Six String Drag, one of the finest bands from Raleigh’s mid-1990s alternative-country generation, is back together to play Saturday night and even record new music. But the very mention of the R-word, “reunion,” seems to make the participants uneasy, because it might not exactly totally for-sure be a reunion in the strictest sense of the term.

Confused? I know I am. But I’m even more curious. So check the preview from Friday’s paper, which includes details about the show - and make plans to attend.
