Recap: Delaware vs. Cal Poly

Newark, DE (SportsNetwork.com) - Jarvis Threatt racked up 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, as the Delaware Blue Hens claimed an 82-72 win over the Cal Poly Mustangs in non-conference play from the Bob Carpenter Center.

Devon Saddler knocked down 5-of-7 3-pointers off the bench for the Blue Hens (8-7) and finished with 22 points, while Kyle Anderson added 15 points and Davon Usher scored 12.

Anthony Silvestri led the way with a career-high 14 points for the Mustangs (4-9), who remain winless on the road this season. Kyle Odister rounded out the double-digit scorers with 12 points.

Both teams shot an identical 13-of-28 (.464) from the floor in the first half, but Delaware buried eight 3-pointers and also held a 13-2 scoring edge at the foul line. The Blue Hens closed out the half with a 9-2 spurt to take a 47-33 lead into the break.

They eventually stretched that lead to as many as 24 with 13 minutes to play in regulation despite making only 7-of-25 field goals in the second half.

UD converted 32-of-39 free throws in the first-ever meeting between these two teams.
