Contest winners meet McDonald’s head chef

January 5, 2014

In addition to prizes they won in an essay contest sponsored by McDonald’s, three students from Middle Creek Elementary School in Apex got personal congratulations from McDonald’s Executive Chef Dan Coudreaut.

Fifth-grader Jackson Klein of Holly Springs and third-graders Hannah Bottomley and Anna Lee Linehan of Apex each received a chef hat autographed by Coudreaut and a $50 McDonald’s gift card and got to participate in a food demonstration with Coudreaut at a local McDonald’s restaurant. The contest and food demonstration were part of McTeacher’s Night, an event that invited educators, students, parents and friends from Middle Creek Elementary to work at the restaurant, with a percentage of the sales going to support the school.
