Police seek shooting suspects in Dec. 26 crime

January 5, 2014

Raleigh Police Department detectives want to identify and arrest three suspects in a post-Christmas shooting on New Bern Avenue.

Just before 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 26, officers answered an injured-person call in the 1600 block of New Bern. Emergency services workers transported a man, 39, who had been shot, to WakeMed.

Police learned that the shooting victim had accepted a ride from strangers in a night club. Sunday night, police made available surveillance pictures from the nightclub.

Police say the suspects and the victim left the nightclub in a vehicle and went to the area where the victim was found shot.
