600 customers lose power in Raleigh

— Several hundred people in Raleigh were without electric power because of outages Monday morning, Duke Energy Progress reported.

The company said two problems were affecting about 600 customers at 7 a.m. in the Eastgate area north of the Interstate 440 Beltline.

Power went out shortly after 5 a.m. and was expected to be back on for everyone before 8 a.m., the company said.
