The Dec. 31 column “Whatevs: words for the Dumpster” by Timothy Egan hit home. It seems every year there is some new cute catch phrase or word that I seemingly hear daily. His column listed several but missed “down in the weeds,” “circle back around” and the awful “don’t go there.” The last is thankfully seldom used but is truly worse than fingernails on the blackboard. So, as we enter a new year, at the end of the day let’s circle back around down in the weeds and don’t go there anymore. Whatever.
