Each month, Our State magazine profiles a different barbecue restaurant across the state and Crooks plans to serve that restaurants cue at a monthly event.
The first one kicks off at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Crooks Corner will be serving barbecue from Stephensons restaurant in Willow Springs, about 25 miles south of Raleigh. Stephensons is featured in this issue of Our State: ourstate.com/stephensons-barbecue/
Our State editor Elizabeth Hudson will be giving away copies of the January issue. North Carolina barbecue expert Bob Garner will be signing copies of his book, Book of Barbecue: North Carolinas Favorite Food.
The February event will feature McCalls Bar-B-Q & Seafood in Goldsboro, and March event will feature in Asheville.
