Mary Storms: Credit check

January 7, 2014

Regarding the Jan. 7 news article “McCrory defends DHHS chief after mailing error”: According to Gov. Pat McCrory, his administration can’t fix 10 years of operational neglect (under previous Democratic administrations) in one year but his administration can claim full credit for the 2 percent drop in N.C.’s unemployment rate over the past year due to his tax reform, which just went into effect one week ago (“McCrory praises state’s economy,” Jan. 7 business story).

Nice try, but McCrory can’t have it both ways.
