Power problem closes South Johnston High

From staff reportsJanuary 10, 2014

— South Johnston High School students got an extra day off Friday when a power transformer interrupted electricity for the building.

School officials sent students home at 9:30 a.m., making it a little more than a two-hour school day.

Students will not have to make up the day, a district spokeswoman said.
