From staff reportsJanuary 10, 2014

— A 25-year-old woman faces a plethora of felony charges that authorities filed in connection with apartment and car break-ins, including one in which Raleigh police accused her of taking a $2,500 set of golf clubs from a car on New Year's Eve and selling them to a sporting goods shop the next day.

Katherine Amelia White, for whom police had no permanent address, was arrested in the 3100 block of New Bern Avenue on Wednesday, the day of the most recent of the crimes of which she is accused.

In arrest warrants Wednesday and Thursday, Raleigh police said White broke into one apartment each on Dec. 17 and 30, two on Jan. 3 and two the day she was arrested.

They also filed four counts of felony larceny, a charge of possessing burglar’s tools, the Dec. 31 car break-in and obtaining property by false pretense in the sale of the golf clubs.

Wake County sheriff’s investigators served an arrest warrant Thursday accusing White of stealing a Jeep Wrangler and a credit card on Dec. 30.

White was in front of a judge Thursday on the first round of charges and was due in court again Friday afternoon.

She was being held in lieu of a total bail of $181,500.
