Clippers G Redick cleared to return

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard J.J. Redick has been cleared by team doctors and is expected to return to the lineup on Friday against the Lakers.

Redick, who hasn't played since Nov. 29 because of a fractured bone in his right hand as well as torn ligaments on the side of his wrist, participated in shootaround with no restrictions Friday morning after practicing on Thursday.

"I'm good to go," said Redick. "I wouldn't be playing if I wasn't."

The Clippers went 13-8 in Redick's absence but are eager to welcome back one of the league's best shooters. In 17 games prior to the injury, Redick was scoring a career-best 15.8 points per game and LA averaged 8.6 more points per 100 possessions with him on the floor.

Redick's return will push Jamal Crawford back to his natural sixth man roll after starting the last 14 games.
