Austin City Limits (Midnight, UNC-TV) - Jason Isbell, who performs locally at the Haw River Ballroom on Jan. 16 and Jan. 25, is spotlighted on the show, playing songs from his new album, “Southeastern.” Neko Case, who released a new album in September, also performs.

When Calls the Heart (9pm, Hallmark) - We'll try not to hold the name of this new Hallmark series against it, but … This new drama follows a refined young woman from the city who accepts a teaching position in a Canadian frontier town. In tonight's debut, a mining accident occurs and a special message is found on a plank in the mine where it occurred.

Pit Bulls and Parolees (10pm, Animal Planet) - A dangerous rescue mission is undertaken to rescue two dogs that are running wild on the train tracks next to the shelter. Also, a couple want to adopt a dog to help them heal after a personal tragedy.

Kentucky Justice (10pm, National Geographic Channel) - A search for illegal marijuana growing operations leads to a run-in with an old friend of the sheriff.
